DIY shirt dress

This great shirt was found at the Value Village store for a mere $2.50. It is super sheer mesh fabric with lots of tiny black beads sewn in. Paired with a wide belt, and presto...a daring mini dress!

vintage skirt dress

This lovely skirt was found at the Value Village store for $2.5o. It is an elastic waist long skirt with a great floral print. The fabric is a sheer chiffon/gauzewith lots of pleats. Pull it up and put a belt with it...and tada...a beautiful summer dress!

another great vintage blazer dress

Another great vintage blazer found at the Goodwill store for $3.50. This is actually an oversized blazer from the 80's with an awesome geometric print. It is 100% silk and fabulous. Could be worn as a blazer over leggings or belted (or not) as a daring mini dress!

cameo blouse

Another great vintage find...this came from the by-the-pound Goodwill store in Charlotte, NC. They weigh all of the clothes and charge a whopping $1.39 per pound...this probably cost $.15. It would be great with a pencil skirt or with shorts as shown. The top is lacey with a Cameo applicque. Sooo Hippie!

Another great blazer re-invented! This is a metallic blazer that was part of a long vintage disco dress. Updated with a belt, and worn as a daring mini wrap dress.

vintage blazer dress

Check out this sexy sheer dress! This was actually a sheer cover over a granny dress at the local thrift store. Get rid of the granny dress, and pair this with a sexy belt and some high heels. I dont think you could find a sexier dress if you dare to wear! I love to re-invent clothes!

Look at this awesome vintage "boyfriend" blazer dress! I found this at the Value Village store for $3.50. It is a very silky polyester fabric....feels like brushed silk. The color is so bright, you gotta wear shades! This is currently listed on Ebay, by seller cthorsedog ...yeah, I know the name is weird..I have been told before!

Check out this awesome blazer! I found it at the Value Village store for $5.50. It is heavily beaded on the lapel and has a great tuxedo tail. This would be great with a tight little mini skirt or as pictured for a quirky night out on the town look! This will soon be listed on Ebay by seller cthorsedog ...yeah, I know it is a weird name, but hey, it works!

This is not your granny's sweater...well, maybe it was, but now it is a hot and sexy summer dress! I found this at the local thrift store for $2.50. It is a Large sweater with a lacey Peter Pan style collar. It has a crochet peek-a-boo texture and is slightly gathered at the bottom. I paired it with a belt and some sandals and voila...now it is a mini dress.

This was a great find at the by-the-pound Goodwill store in Charlotte, NC. They have huge bins full of clothes that you have to dig through but all your finds are weighed and they charge a whopping $1.39 per pound. So this blouse probably cost $.15 or less. It is a large silk Novelty blouse that can be worn as a tent dress or belted. The print is gladiators, so this would be an awesome spring dress with gladiator sandals. For older or less daring, pair it with leggings and sandals to hit the town shopping.

This was from a recent trip to the Value Village store..It is
actually a large vintage blouse with a "Pussy (Galore) Bow."
I paired it with a big buckle belt and some chunky heels and wore it as a daring mini dress. She looks better in it than I do, so you are seeing it on her...of course she would look good in a paper bag...or nothing at all...just saying.

Made a trip to Charlotte to the Goodwill Outlet. There you buy clothing by the pound. $1.39 I found some really cool things. I think I paid about 40cents for this hot blouse... Your granny might have worn it with a pencil skirt. I bet she didn't wear it like this!
